MINDS eHealth is a project whose objective is reducing health disparities of African Americans. We aim to do this by increasing awareness of, access to, and utilization of the wealth of science based, user friendly health resources compiled in the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) databases.

MINDS eHealth was established with funding from the United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation and The National Library of Medicine.

The goals of MINDS eHealth are:

  1. To spread high quality health information on the Morgan State University campus and in the surrounding community through peer-based training. This will be possible by working together with a network of campus and community partners, using National Library of Medicine databases.
  2. To increase knowledge of evidence-based data sources of risky behaviors and healthy lifestyles among Morgan State University campus and community residents through access to high quality health information; and
  3. To integrate National Library of Medicine databases into Social Work and Public Health courses.
